We didn't think we'd have many doubts going into The Ruins finale. After all, the Champs are standing strong (with Kenny, Evan, Derek, Johnny and Susie rounding out the roster) while the Challengers are down to just two players: KellyAnne and Sarah. But if you put aside the teams' respective win-loss ratios (and relative arm strength) and consider the facts, we'd argue that the Challengers still have a decent shot of turning this one out.
Look, we're not saying they're stronger, faster or craftier than the guys. What we're saying is: they don't have to be. As Johnny Bananas pointed out, the girls don't need to outclimb, outrun or outswim the entire Champions team -- they just need to make it across that finish line before Susie does.
So does that mean KellyAnne and Sarah have it in the bag? Well, not necessarily -- even if Susie IS the world's worst swimmer/runner/climber (a.k.a. the Casey of final challenges), she'll still have four strapping young men right there to help her finish the race drag her along by her hair. That is, assuming she still wants to help them win.
Yep, thanks to Johnny's obnoxious anti-Susie campaign, the Champs lone female may already be plotting a collabo with the other team. The irony? She probs wasn't even considering it till Johnny opened his big yapper and turned the whole team against her. 'Course, now, splitting the money three ways (instead of five) has gotta look pretty tempting, especially when it means getting to screw over her arch nemesis (i.e. Bananas) in the process.
